When it comes to safety, you should be tactful. The last thing you want is for anyone to get hurt, especially if it is preventable.

Gardening is something to do that can make you lose more. It is something routine that a lot of people do but there are ways of doing it that will expend more energy. For example, if you are going to cut the grass, do not use a riding mower. Instead, use a walking mower. For ideas of what to plant and the tools needed, invest in a gardening book. Then you can choose to plant the things that use tools that will cause you to be most active.

Stairs are great calorie burners. If you have stairs in the home, use them. Go down and up them more than usual. Also, at work, instead of taking the elevator, opt for stairs. It is a method that works the legs and muscles a lot.
