How Can We Build The Muscles? Let Us Count The Ways

How can we build the muscles? Let us count the ways and means by which we can get in a little bit of fitness training even by doing something as prosaic as housework in such a manner that, eventually, knowing how to get big ripped muscles could result. Certainly, we need to do something because most of us probably have zero time to do anything more than imagine exercising nowadays.

The above about gaining huge muscles could be a little bit of a stretch — when it deals with housework — but stop to think about the amount of time most of us would say we have to do any sort of fitness training. Chances are high that 95% of us would say we have no time (even when we do). That is a truly scary number but it has to be dealt with for what it is, one would say.

Take heart, though, in knowing that more than a few smart and maybe not-too-smart folks have given the issue of lack of workout time a fair bit of thought. This is good, because most people hate fitness centers like they hate asparagus or broccoli. At any rate, it seems that performing a little bit of housework can help out, even if one doesn’t actually own the house to work around in (rent a house?).

For example, maybe a little legwork can be done by going down in the basement, opening up the tap on the deep sink and causing a mini-flood that is going to require a dry wet vacuum to clean up. That’s okay; because most of us probably have — or can get — one of those little beauties. Just haul it down the stairs and back up 10 or 15 times and you’re all set.

Soon enough, all of that up-and-down or pushing-around-of-the-vacuum-cleaner will start doing things to the legs (as long as it’s done at least twice a week) that may even impress a big guy like Arnold Schwarzenegger. In fact, he may start calling you to find out the secret behind legs that might look good on the cover of a fitness magazine, and all without resorting to steroids.

The Schwarzenegger thing may be a bit of a stretch, but one can see where we’re going with this. Now; onto the upper arms. Folding blankets and other bedding (preferably something premium like CoCaLo baby bedding for no special reason other than it’s very nice to look at while folding) can be a good way to start getting some blood flow into the upper arms.

The point behind that will be repetition, blood flow into the upper arms and a little bit of effort that will pay off. One could even take the folding and turn it into a set or two. Imagine being in the gym folding and unfolding baby bedding. Okay; don’t imagine unfolding baby bedding but imagine lifting weight, because that will be the golden opportunity one needs to gain a bit of fitness at home.
